This is my first plein air painting EVER. This is the view across Lake Linton from Ojibway Island in Saginaw. The first day of Saginaw Art Museum's Great Lakes Plein Air Festival was a very hot 91 degrees and very windy, but I anchored everything and the wind cooled things down. I loved it and caught the plein air bug. I found acrylic difficult to paint with on a hot windy day, but the key is to mist, mist, mist. I am entering this piece as one of my 3 pieces entered in the final competition of the Festival's Open Class.
